Hosting and security
Hosting and security for the sites we build
Fast, secure hosting with SSL, backups and monitoring, so the site stays online and up to date without you running a server.
Hosting is part of the plan, not a side invoice
A site that ranks and then goes offline, or that loads so slowly the visit never becomes an enquiry, wastes the SEO. Hosting and security are in the monthly plan for that reason. You do not take the finished site away on a USB stick and hope a cheap host keeps the HTTPS certificate alive.
What you get is ordinary and necessary: the site served quickly, HTTPS, backups, and someone watching whether it is up. Updates to the software are our job. You should not be applying patches on a Friday night because a host emailed you a changelog.
We do not sell this as a place to park a site we did not build, and we do not sell a menu of dedicated servers. The hosting fits the websites we create: the same structure, the same measurement, the same monthly report.
What “secure” means here
Secure means the connection is encrypted, the software is kept current, and a backup exists if a deploy goes wrong. It does not mean a guarantee that nobody will ever try to break in, and we will not write that sentence. It means there is a person responsible when something fails, and that person is the studio already running your SEO.
Forms on the site send the enquiry to you. We do not sell the addresses, and the privacy policy says what is stored. Hosting is not an excuse to add tracking you did not ask for. Analytics runs with the consent banner the site already has.
If the site is bilingual, both languages are on the same host and the same deploy. A Portuguese homepage that is up and an English service page that 404s is a hosting failure, not a translation nuance. Monitoring has to see both.
What we will not claim
We will not publish a made-up uptime percentage. Uptime is easy to invent and hard for you to audit from a marketing page. If you want the practical version, it is this: if the site is down, you have one studio to call, on the hours published on the contact page, Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00.
We also will not list every client as a hosting customer. The portfolio shows sites we built. The hosting relationship is in the plan you sign, not in a logo grid. The enquiry figures for Valentina Hair Concept, Tiago Zattar Hair and kiloJoule stay on their case studies, where the source is the analytics, not the host.
What hosting and security includes
01
The site stays online
Hosting for the website we built, on infrastructure meant for that site, not a shared account you have to administer.
02
HTTPS
SSL is included. The canonical host is the one in your sitemap, not a mix of www and bare domain both returning 200.
03
Backups
A backup you can restore if a deploy or an edit goes wrong. We do not describe this as an insurance policy.
04
Monitoring
We notice if the site stops answering. You should not be the person who discovers it from a client’s screenshot.
05
Updates
Platform updates are part of the month. They are not a surprise invoice labelled “maintenance”.
06
The same report
Hosting problems that affect measurement show up in the monthly note. A down afternoon is not invisible just because the SEO chart looks calm.
The sites live in the portfolio
Hosting is a retainer on the plan, so we are not badging individual clients as uptime stories. The work index is where the sites are. If you want the plan that includes hosting, it is the same monthly plan as the other four services.
WorkQuestions about hosting and security
Can you host a site you did not build?
That is not the offer. Hosting and security are for the websites we create and then keep. A site on another stack, with another form and another analytics setup, is a different job, and we do not pretend it is this one.
Do I get a login to the server?
You do not need one. Content changes go through the studio, which is the content-update service. Handing over a server login is how certificates expire and how the SEO we are measuring gets undone.
What if I want to leave?
The plan has a six-month minimum. After that, a handover is a conversation about the export, the domain and the measurement, not a hostage situation. We do not use “lock-in” as a sales line. The minimum term is the term.
Is email included?
The website hosting is included. Mailboxes are a separate system and we do not bundle a vague “email hosting” promise into this page. If your domain’s email already works, we leave it alone.
How do backups work?
We keep a backup we can restore. We do not publish a theatrical recovery-time number. If you need a specific recovery objective for a regulated business, say so in the audit and we will tell you whether this plan covers it.
Does security include a penetration test?
No. That is a different profession. What you get is HTTPS, updates, backups, monitoring, and a form that does not leak the enquiry into a tool you did not agree to.
Where is the price?
Inside the monthly plan, with the website, SEO, content and blog. Six-month minimum. The number is in the proposal after the audit. It is not on this page, on purpose.
